10.4 Conditions of normal machine operation
Manual feed under normal machine operation conditions when processing medium-hard
wood to the maximum depth and width in one pass is 1.5 m/min for planing, and 1 m/min
for cutting.
In case of insufficient dust extraction and blockage of dust extraction channel of the machine,
use dust extraction device with a capacity of at least 900 m
connecting this device.

11. BASIC OPERATIONS

11.1 Planing
Before starting the operation, prepare and adjust the machine:
• mount the planing tables;
• set the planing depth;
• mount the guarding;
• mount the guide fence (if necessary);
• mount the clamping device (if necessary).
To switch to the planing mode, lower the saw blade to the lowest position till the
arrow of the pointer is aligned with "min" line on cutting depth scale 37 (figure 1).
Be sure to secure this position with thumb nut 18.
11.1.1 Planing tables mounting
To mount planing tables, do the following (figure 6):
• release thumb nuts 26;
• lower the planing tables by moving down handle-levers 40 and 41;
• secure receiving planing table 24 in the lowest position with thumb nut 26;
• move feeding planing table 25 to the required planing depth (0÷3 mm) by aligning
pointer 42 with the required value on scale 43;
• secure feeding table 25 in this position by tightening thumb nut 26.
11.1.2 Use of the cutter block guard
Cutter block guard 8 is designed for covering the part of the rotating cutter block that is
out of the cutting zone (non-working part of the cutter block) during machine operation.
To mount the cutter block guard, do the following:
• secure bracket 9 with screws 29 and washers 28;
• insert cutter block guard 8 between the hooks of bracket 9;
• extend the guard onto the plane of receiving planing table 24 and secure it with thumb
screws 52.
To move cutter block guard 8 to the required position, do the following:
• loosen thumb screws 52;
• move cutter block guard 8 along the cutter block, in the direction of the arrows on the guard;
• tighten thumb screws 52.
At the end of operation and during the working breaks, cutter block guard 8
should completely cover the cutter block.
11.1.3 Planing with the guide
Guide 4 is designed to allocate a processed workpiece relative to the cutter block and
ensures its linear movement. The guide can be mounted either perpendicular to the table
or at an angle.
