plane ensuring the radial distance between riving knife 3 and cutting teeth of saw blade 32
not exceeding 5 mm. This can be achieved by moving the inclined groove of riving knife
3 along the threaded pins. After mounting, securely fasten riving knife 3 to the rods with
nuts 31.
Saw blade guard 2 must be mounted on the machine during the performing of
all processing types.
10.1.3 Mounting and adjusting the guide
Guide 4 can be used for planing and cutting.
Guide 4 can be mounted on the right or left side of the saw blade in cutting mode.
Mounting of guide 4 in cutting mode on the right side of the saw blade is shown in figure 5.
Before starting mounting guide 4, move clamping handle 50 to the top position. Place
guide 4 on guides 49 of the machine. Move the guide along the guides, making sure that it
moves freely, with no jamming. Set guide 4 to the required size according to cutting width
scale 48.
Move clamping handle 50 to the bottom position, to secure guide 4.
Guide 4 has the ability to set the workpiece at an angle in the range between 0° and 45°
in accordance with adjustable tilt angle scale 44.
To adjust the smoothness and accuracy of guide 4 along guides 49, do the following:
• loosen bolts 4а;
• adjust travel of guide 4 by crewing/unscrewing bolts 4b;
• tighten bolts 4a.
To adjust clamping force of guide 4, do the following:
• move clamping handle 50 to the bottom position;
• adjust the clamping force of guide 4 by crewing/unscrewing the screw 4c.
After adjustment, make sure that guide 4 moves freely along guides 49 when clamping
handle 50 is raised.
10.2 Machine mounting
Prepare a plane stable horizontal surface free from foreign objects and place the machine on
it. It's recommended to fix the machine with bolted connection.
Recommended height of the machine's working tables is 850-950 mm from floor level.
Check the parts' integrity; mounting security; tightening and lock of all the bolts, screws and
nuts; absence of damage of power cord, plug and socket; presence of guarding.
10.3 Machine starting
Starting the machine is performed using switch 17 (figure 1) after preparation and adjustment
for the required type of processing. The switch is located on rotary control panel 22.
To change its location, release thumb screw 35, turn rotary control panel with the switch to a
convenient position and secure it again with thumb screw 35.
The machine is started by pressing the green button and is stopped by pressing the red one.
Starting time of the machine shouldn't exceed 10 seconds. If the machine fails to start, switch it
OFF. In case of start failure perform the starting procedure again in at least 1 minute.
