knives, and the loading table has the ability to drop below this level, which ensures the setting
of the required planing depth.
In the cutting mode, the planing tables are set at the level of the cutting table 23, forming the
full plane of the cutting table. At the same time, the planing tables (24, 25) cover the rotating
cutter block, ensuring safe work. Moving tables is carried out using built-in handles-levers
40 and 41. This design allows you to quickly and easily readjust the machine to the required
processing mode.
Switch 17 is mounted on control panel 22. It provides the possibility of rotation for convenient
and safe switching ON/OFF the machine in various processing modes.
The machine is equipped with a guide 4 to provide workpiece allocation relative to cutting tool
and to ensure its translational, linear and longitudinal movement.
In order to prevent the saw blade 32 from jamming during cutting, a riving knife 3 is provided in
the structure of the machine. To prevent access to the rotating parts of the machine, protective
guards and covers are provided in the structure.
The wiring diagram is shown in Fig. 2.

10. PRESTARTING PROCEDURES

Fail-free machine operation largely depends on correct maintenance and timely malfunctions
elimination.
To prepare for work it's necessary to perform:
• assembling;
• mounting;
• knives adjustment;
• starting.
10.1 Machine assembling
Remove the machine and the set of parts from the packaging.
To assemble the machine, it's necessary to set it on a table and mount on it the devices and
guards form the package set:
• adjust the saw blade insert (sub-item 10.1.1);
• mount the saw blade guard with the riving knife (sub-item 10.1.2);
• Mount the stop (sub-item 10.1.3);
10.1.1 Saw blade insert adjustment
The saw blade insert should be adjusted so that the mark «▲» 30b (figure 3) matches the
center of the saw blade 32 and the groove 30а is parallel to the surface of the saw blade
32. To perform that, loosen the screws 30c, adjust the insert 30 and tighten the screws.
10.1.2 Mounting of saw blade guard with riving knife
To mount riving knife 3 (figure 4) on the machine, push its end with inclined groove into
the slot of cutting table insert 30 and slide it onto two threaded pins so that the inclined
groove is located between pressing plates 51 and nuts 31, previously mounted on the
threaded pins.
Next, adjust the riving knife position. To do this, set the saw blade to the maximum cutting
