Serrated slide with coolant delivery
section
Fastening
To fasten the serrated slide ①, the cool
ant delivery section ⑥ is first fastened in
the slider using two threaded taper pins
②.
The serrated slide is aligned according to
the marking (Δ) ⑫ and fastened in place
using the cap screws with washers (tight
ening torque 8 Nm).
Caution:
Do not fit the threaded taper
pins without the coolant
delivery section. At the
same time, always ensure
that the feeder is secured with the two
threaded taper pins, since loose pins
could cause an accident.

counter weight
Fastening
The insert holder ③ is mounted on the
side with the coolant delivery section,
preset according to the scale and then
fastened in place using the cap screw
④ (tightening torque 8 Nm). The scale
on the insert holder is valid for the center
slider position (= 0).
The counter weight ⑤ is set to the
required diameter according to the scale
on the opposite side and fastened.

counter weight (Fig. 7)
Fastening
The tool slider is moved to center posi
tion. It must then be fed in by 1 mm in
diameter according to the digital display.
If the internal coolant supply is used, the
threaded pin ⑨ must be removed first.
The outside turning insert holder ⑩ is
mounted on the side with the coolant
delivery section, preset according to the
scale and then fastened in place using
the cap screw ⑭ (tightening torque 8
Nm). 0.1 mm corrections can be made
using tool adjustment.
The counter weight ⑪ is set to the
required outside turning diameter accord
ing to the scale on the opposite side and
fastened.

When fitting the finishturning insert hold
er, note that it is turned through 180°.
Because of this circumstance, diameter
adjustments when using this insert holder
must be carried out opposite to the meth
od described in the section "Diameter
adjustment" (Page 14):
Turning to + = Reduction in diameter
Turning to – = Increase in diameter
