4 Maintenance

Unscrew the corresponding ETX-carrier from
the drive plate [51].
4.
Remove the dust cover ring
(! Chapter 4.4).
5.
Loosen the 3 screws [52] (spanner width 13)
(do not fully unscrew).
6.
Use a spanner [55, Fig. AE] (spanner width 17)
to hold the star grip [54, Fig. AE].
7.
Loosen the clamping screw [53, Fig. AE] (span
ner width 13) (do not fully unscrew).
8.
Turn the star grip with the spanner clockwise by
about ½ star sectors and hold (! Fig. AE).
9.
Tighten the clamping screw.
10. Tighten the 3 screws [52].
11. Mount the dust cover ring
(! Chapter 4.4).
4.6 Working on hydraulic components
Only suitably knowledgeable, qualified profes
sional technicians may perform work on any hy
draulic parts of the grinding machine!
4.7 Cleaning the grinding machine
Risk of damage!
Do not use high pressure cleaners or com
pressed air to clean the grinding machine! Wear
protective gloves!
1.
Place the grinding machine with the supporting
feet [11, Fig. B] on a level, horizontal floor with
adequate load capacity (e.g. pallet or floor).
2.
Switch the guiding machine off.
3.
After operation, clean the grinding machine and
the tools dry with a brush, a cloth and vacuum
cleaner.
4.8 Final tasks
Either:

Restart the grinding machine
(! Chapter 3.1).
or shut the grinding machine down:

a.
Place the grinding machine with the sup
porting feet [11, Fig. B] on a level, horizon
tal floor with adequate load capacity
(e.g. pallet or floor).
b.
Uncouple the guide arm
(! Chapter 4.1.2).
c.
Pull off and remove the hose of the dust
extraction from the connection to the dust
extraction [15, Fig. A].
d.
Separate the 4 hydraulic connections
[Fig. L and Fig. M].
e.
Securely attach the hydraulic lines to the
grinding machine.
The hydraulic connections need to be protected
against soiling.
For longer periods in transport or in storage, the
grinding machine needs to be covered to protect
it against soiling.
4.9 Customer service and spare parts
In case of customer service queries, replacement
parts or repairs, please contact the manufacturer of
the grinding machine. To ensure your queries are
dealt with as quickly as possible, always quote your
grinding machine data (machine no. and serial no.).
These are located on the grinding machine's type
plate.
