EN Wall, ceiling and floor grinding machine WDS 530 E
4 Maintenance
1.
Place the grinding machine with the supporting
feet [11, Fig. B] on a level, horizontal floor with
adequate load capacity (e.g. pallet or floor).
2.
Switch the guiding machine off.
The consistency of the surface to be ground deter
mines the type or the composition of the tools to be
used. The manufacturer of the grinding machine can
gladly provide corresponding recommendations.
4.3.1 Mounting and dismantling ETX diamond tools
All ETX diamond tools authorised for this grind
ing machine are dismantled and mounted in the
same manner.
All ETX-carriers have to be equipped with dia
mond tools of the same type and the same
quantity (always 3 or 9 tools). The manufacturer
of the grinding machine can gladly provide cor
responding recommendations.
The diamond tools need to be equal in height
(degree of wear).
1.
Loosen (do not screw out) the 3 retaining
screws [37, Fig. P].
2.
Turn the red retaining ring [38, Fig. P] clockwise
until the ETX diamond tools have been re
leased.
3.
Gently tap with a lump hammer to loosen the
ETX diamond tools [36, Fig. P] from the EXT
locating plate [39, Fig. P] and then remove.
4.
Insert new ETX diamond tools into the re
cess [45, Fig. S] of the ETX-carrier and press
firmly in the direction of the arrow (use lump
hammer if necessary).
5.
Turn the retaining ring anti‐clockwise until the
ETX diamond tools have been clamped in.
6.
Turn the 3 retaining screws [37, Fig. P] tight.
4.3.2 Mounting and dismantling bush hammering rollers
Each tool carrier [42, Fig Q] has to be equipped
with 3 bush hammering rollers [41, Fig Q]. The
degree of wear of all bush hammering rollers
should be equal.
1.
If necessary, dismantle all ETX diamond tools
(! Chapter 4.3.1).
2.
Attach the 3 tool carriers to the ETX-carrier with
the supplied screws (3 pieces each, M8).
If machining should be done with bush hamme
ring rollers, the special dust cover ring
[46, Fig. U] needs to be mounted
(! Chapter 4.4).
4.4 Replacing/Adjusting the dust cover ring
The dust cover ring should extend about 3 ... 8
mm beyond the grinding tools.
—
Check the dust cover ring [1, Fig. A] for condi
tion, proper position and function and, if neces
sary, replace or adjust.
Replacing the dust cover ring
If machining should be done with bush hamme
ring rollers, the special dust cover ring [46,
Fig. U] needs to be mounted
(! Chapter 4.4).
1.
Unscrew the 4 nuts of the 4 spring ele
ments [2, Fig. T] and remove the dust cover
ring [1, Fig. T or 46, Fig. U].
2.
Slide the dust cover ring onto the grinding ma
chine head [16] and the 4 spring elements [2]
screw on with the 4 nuts.
3.
Adjust the dust cover ring.
Adjusting the dust cover ring
The dust cover ring can only be adjusted if the
ETX diamond tools or the bush hammering
rollers have been mounted properly
(! Chapter 4.3).
1.
Place a straight, long enough object (e.g. water
level, rod) on the dust cover ring (! Fig. F).
2.
Adjust the dust cover ring [1, Fig. T or 46, Fig. U]
by shifting the 4 spring elements [2, Fig. T] so that
it extends by about 3 ... 8 mm beyond the grinding
tools (! Fig. F).
3.
Retighten the 8 screws of the 4 spring elements.
4.5 Adjusting the drive belt tension
If the grinding tools are moved irregularly or not at all
and the drive belt is slipping (whistling noise), the
drive belt may need to be tightened in the grinding
machine head.
1.
Place the grinding machine with the supporting
feet [11, Fig. B] on a level, horizontal floor with
adequate load capacity (e.g. pallet or floor).
2.
Switch the guiding machine off.
