4 Maintenance

4 Maintenance
Follow the safety instructions in Chapter 2!
The operating and maintenance personnel re
sponsible for the machine must ensure that no
one can enter the machine's danger zone during
operation or maintenance work!
Maintenance work may only be performed by
trained specialists! They must be familiar with
the dangers associated with such work, protect
themselves and avoid danger!
When work is being done on the machine (setup,
maintenance, service, repair, cleaning, etc.), the
power supply of the machine has to be discon
nected from the mains (pull power plug)!
Perform cleaning and maintenance work in ac
cordance with the operating manual and check
the safety equipment for completeness and
functionality!

4.1 Customer service and spare parts

In case of customer service queries, replacement
parts or repairs, please contact the manufacturer. To
ensure your queries are dealt with as quickly as pos
sible, always quote your machine data. These are
located on the machine's nameplate [38, Fig. F] .

The weight elements [13, Fig. N] can be used to
adapt the machine to the requirements. Special set
tings are described in the corresponding chapters.
Positions for the weight elements [Fig. N]:
A
Standard position for grinding, transporting and
storing.
B
Position for grinding with increased grinding
pressure and for driving on inclines
(e.g. ramps).
C
Position for grinding with reduced grinding pres
sure and for tipping the machine.

4.4 Mounting and dismantling grinding tools

Risk of damage due to unsuitable tools!
The manufacturer strongly recommends to use
only the certified tools offered by Schwamborn.
The consistency of the surface to be ground deter
mines the type or composition of the tools to be used.
All grinding tools authorised for this machine
[Fig. W] are removed and mounted in the same
manner.
Per tool mount, always mount 3 or 6 tools of the
same type and degree of wear, in accordance
with the processing specifications.
All tool mounts have to be equipped with dia
mond tools of the same type and the same
quantity. The diamond tools need to be equal in
height (degree of wear).
Risk of injury from sharp edges!
An extremely sharp burr can form on the dia
mond tools during the grinding process. Wear
safety gloves!
