m ATTENTION!
Do not overfill – overfilling can result in excessive
temperatures in the exciter.
Changing the motor oil (fig. M)
After 20 operating hours, the oil must be changed for
the first time, then every 100 operating hours.
To remove the oil proceed as follows:
• remove the flexible hose (i) and poor the oil into a
suitable bin.
• open the filling cap (measuring stick) and let the
oil drain.
• reconnect the flexible hose.
• fill the oil in, check with the measuring stick, and
close.
• pull starter slowly for 5 times, so that the oil spreads
(without ignition)
Recommended engine oil SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40
(depending on the operating temperature).
Dispose of waste oil according to your country's reg-
ulations. It is not allowed to drain waste oil onto the
ground or mix it with other waste material.
Cleaning / replacing the air filter (fig. R)
• Unscrew the wing nut (p) and remove the air filter
cap (o)
• Check the air filter cap (o) for holes and cracks. Re-
place the damaged element.
• Unscrew the inner wing nut (q) and carefully pull out
the paper filter insert (t) with the foam filter insert
(s).
• Wipe off dirt on the inside of the filter housing with
a clean moist cloth. Make sure that no direct en-
ters the opening. Set the air filter cap (o) on the
filter housing for the duration of the filter cleaning
process.
• Carefully remove the foam filter insert (s) from the
paper filter insert (t). Check both parts for damage.
Replace the damaged inserts.
• Clean the foam filter insert (s) in warm water and
a mild soap solution. Thoroughly rinse it out with
clear water and let it dry completely.
• Immerse the foam insert (s) into clean engine oil
and press out the excess oil.
• Securely knock the paper filter insert (t) on a hard
surface to remove the dirt. Never brush out the dirt,
since it is pressed into the fibre.
• Set the foam insert (s) on the paper filter insert (t)
and install the air filter element with the seal again.
• Screw the first wing nut (q) on the paper filter insert.
• Mount the air filter cap (o) and fasten the second
wing nut (p).

m ATTENTION!: Never run the engine without or
with a damaged air filter insert. This would allow dirt
to enter the engine, which would damage the engine.
The manufacturer warranty is then invalidated.
Cleaning / replacing the spark plug.
m ATTENTION! Only remove the spark plug when
the engine is cold!
Clean or replace spark plug as required.
• Remove the spark plug connector and clean any
dirt from the spark plug areas.
• Unscrew the spark plug and check it.
• Check the Isolator. If there is any damage, e.g.
cracks or chips, replace the spark plug.
• Clean the spark plug electrodes with a wire brush.
• Check and set the electrode gap. To make sure that
the engine remains efficient, the spark plug must
have the right electrode gap (0.7-0.8 mm).
• Manually screw the spark plug in and tighten it with
the spark plug spanner approximately 1/4 of a rev-
olution.
• Place the spark plug connector on the spark plug.

Important hint in case of sending the plates to a
service station:
Due to security reasons please see to it that the vibra-
tory plates are sent back free of oil and gas!

15. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it
from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in
this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equip-
ment and its accessories are made of various types
of material, such as metal and plastic. Defective com-
ponents must be disposed of as special waste. Ask
your dealer or your local council.
