3. INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

• The CorKlim tanks must always be installed away from atmospheric agents, on a solid and
suitable base. Before making any connections, make sure that there is enough space for
the exchanger, the magnesium anode and the resistance extraction.
• If, at certain periods of the year, the location where the buffer tanks or the pipes are
installed is subject to temperatures < 0 °C, suitable frost protection must be installed,
for example,
thermostat installed in the premises or by programming heat generator heating cycles or
an auxiliary resistance (optional).
• Check that the location where the CorKlim must be installed is large enough to enable free
access to the exterior, without having to dismantle the installations. The warranty does not
cover any costs incurred if these instructions are not respected.
• Make sure that the location where the CorKlim is installed has a drainage system adapted
to the tank and the installation volume. The warranty does not cover any costs incurred if
these instructions are not respected.
• Appropriate lifting and transport equipment must be used when moving equipment which
weighs over 30 kg. The tank may be moved when empty only, using special lifting platforms
or rings.
• Provide for expansion of the system with the safety system and check the regulations
which apply at the installation site.
• Remember that the equipment must always be connected electrically to the earth.

4. HYDRAULIC CONNECTION

The factory connection scheme shown here is for information purposes only. The designer
must evaluate the best installation scheme to be used according to the CorKlim installed
and in accordance with current regulations and respecting the limited defined by the
manufacturer's data.
Do not forget to place a gas release or bleed valve at the high point on the primary water
tank.

4.1. Water quality

The characteristics of the water used, as soon as the system is commissioned anf for the
full lifetime of the installation must comply with the recommendations for the generator
associated with the primary tank.
• Network water
The network water may be the source of corrosion phenomena related to:
The acidity in the environment,
The presence of oxygen,
The different metals present.
