Important tips for grilling:
Lightly oil fat-free meat before grilling it. Meat with a moderate amount
of fat can be grilled in its own juices.
Best results are obtained using small, tender morsels of meat.
Meat is well done when the juices from the meat change colour.
If you grill cold meat, condensation will occur, and the meat inside will
not be heated sufficiently. Therefore, make sure that the meat is at room
temperature before placing it on the grill.
Seasoning and marinades will burn during grilling, producing smoke.
Therefore, we advise you not to season or marinade raw meat. Instead,
season the meat with spices or barbecue sauce once it is cooked.
You may also grill vegetables and fruit cut into pieces: place them on
the grill plate until cooked.
Cook heat-sensitive food such as fish at medium heat, or cut it into
pieces and cook it in a serving tray on top of the grill plate.

After your meal
After your meal, turn the temperature control dial to «–» and unplug the power
cord. Let the appliance cool down completely.
Always clean your raclette grill after using it (see «Cleaning and care», page 46).
