Safety

Read the instructions below carefully before using your raclette grill. Pay special
attention to the safety instructions marked with a red triangle.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Always take the following precautions when using your raclette grill:
1. Read all the instructions carefully.
2. Never leave the raclette grill unattended while in use.
3. Stand the grill on a dry, firm, even surface and never on a hot surface or close to an
open flame.
4. The grill becomes very hot during use. Do not stand the grill directly on a varnished
surface as this could damage the surface.
5. Place the grill out of reach of small children. The raclette grill must not be used by
children unattended.
6. Maintain a safe distance of at least 50 cm from sockets, candles, inflammable objects
such as curtains etc.
7. Do not use the raclette grill for heating or toasting bread, for thawing frozen food or for
drying washing (fire hazard).
8. While the grill is in use, the power cord must not be situated on top of or in contact
with the grill (risk of fire and short-circuit).
9. Never unplug the grill with wet hands or by pulling on the power cord.
10. Only use extension leads designed for currents of at least 10 A.
11. The power cord is to be located so that it will not be tripped over, causing the
appliance to fall off the table.
12. Check the power cord and plug regularly for damage and heating. Do not use the
appliance if the power cord or plug are damaged. Defective power cords and plugs
are to be replaced immediately through customer service.
13. Before cleaning the appliance, unplug it and wait until it has cooled down completely.
14. The appliance is not splash-proof.
15. This appliance is intended for household use only (in a dry area).
16. Never immerse the appliance or the power cord in water or other liquids (risk of injury,
fire and electric shock).
17. Only use original spare parts and accessories.
18. Keep the operating instructions in a safe place and make sure you pass them on to
other users.
19. No liability is accepted for damage resulting from failure to observe these
instructions.
