4.4 Setting up your raclette grill
When choosing a place to stand your raclette grill, bear in mind the following
points:
Do not place the raclette grill directly below a socket. Stand it on a heat-
resistant base and never place it directly on varnished furniture as the
heat generated could damage the surface.
Maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm from non-heat-resistant or flam-
mable objects such as candles, decorations and curtains.
Make sure that the raclette grill is standing firmly and that the power
cord is located so that it will not be tripped over, causing the appliance
to fall off the table.

Use the raclette grill only in dry areas and nowhere near water basins.
Never place cloths, clothes or any such objects on top of or next to the
appliance (fire hazard).
We recommend connecting the appliance via a residual-current-oper-
ated device («FI»). In case of doubt, please consult an expert.
