VACUUM PACKING FOR STORAGE IN THE PANTRY
Vacuum packing foods
dehydrated using the NutriDry
Vacuum packing is the ideal method
for preserving dehydrated foods. As
dehydration removes all moisture,
vacuum sealing will keep moisture
out and prevent the formation of
bacteria. Indeed, dehydrated foods
will keep for up to 20 times longer in
vacuum packs than in other sealed
containers.
The oxygen around the food will
contribute to oxidisation of the oils,
fats, vitamins and enzymes contained
in dehydrated foods. Removing the
air prevents food going off as a result
of oxidisation.
