g) If only a manifold pipe is used for several
towers, it will be necessary to install
supports or brackets, to avoid that the
weight of this manifold is supported by the
tower pipes. In this case, a breakage of
these pipes could occur (Fig 23).
h) Job sites shall be avoided in which the
cooling water can be filled with fallen
leaves or other organic matters.
i) The assembly of towers in sites with plenty
of dust, such as places close to chimneys,
on closed buildings or beside plants
manufacturing inorganic products (cement
plants, etc.) leads to the danger of
introducing particles in the cooling water,
in the pipes or ducts or in the fill,
eventually originating disturbances in the
tower operation.
