3 Transport and interim storage

As soon as the product arrives:
• Check it for damage in transit.
• In the event of damage, initiate the necessary pro-
cedure with the forwarding agent within the time
indicated.
CAUTION! Risk of damage
The product may suffer damage if it is not trans-
ported and stored correctly.
• The pump may only be suspended / supported by
the strap provided for this purpose. Never by
the cable.
• The pump must be protected against damp,
frost, heat, direct sunlight and mechanical dam-
age during transport and storage.
• The pump pressure port must be firmly closed
during storage to prevent fouling.
• Make sure that the freezing point of the engine
fill is at -8°C during storage.

4 Intended use

Wilo-Sub TWU4 submersible pumps are suitable
for pumpingclean or slightly contaminated water
without long-fibre and abrasive constituents.
They are used
• for boreholes and cisterns,
• for pumping and distributing secondary hot water
for:
• domestic use
• agriculture (irrigation, sprinkling)
• industry (pressure boosting, etc.)
NOTE: Local regulations must be observed for the
application concerned.
The pumps are only installed submerged and can
be set up horizontally or vertically.
CAUTION! Risk of damage! Pumping inadmissi-
ble fluids can damage the product.
The pumps are not suitable for water with
coarse contamination such as fibres or combus-
tible fluids or for use in potentially explosive
areas.
Correct use of the product also means following
these instructions.
Any other use is not regarded as correct usage.

• 1.5 m, 2.5 m or 4 m detachable connecting cable
(VDE/KTW) 4 x 1.5 mm² cable cross-section

5.3.2 Plug & Pump submersible pump variant with
• Single-phase motor
• Switchbox with motor protection (integrated
condenser - depending on size)
• Wilo Fluid Control (Wilo pressure circuit)
