Commissioning

Observe the safety instructions!
2.4.1 Transport
• Vessel depressurised.
• In the vehicle: transport the compressor in
an upright position, secure and protect it.
• Only with appropriate transport securing
devices in place.
2.4.2 Conditions at the installa-
tion location
• Rooms: as dust-free as possible, dry, well
ventilated.
• Surface: level.
2.4.3 Before first use
1. Remove packaging, unscrew angle piece
(Figure 2b).
2. Remove unit from the palette manually
or by using a fork lift. Important: The
unit can tip over!
3. Open maintenance flap and remove
transport securing devices on the
console of the compressor unit.
4. Carry out a visual inspection.
5. Check the electrical connection.
6. Check the oil level (see Chap. 2.6.5).
2.4.4 Electrical connection
• The mains voltage must match that speci-
fied on the rating plate.
• Electric protection according to technical
data.
• Observe VDE regulations 0100 and 0105.
When using extension cords: cable cross-
section:
min.
length:10 m.
2.4.5 Checking/changing the ro-
tation direction
For three-phase compressors:
1. Check the rotation direction each time
the power plug is plugged in: switch on
the compressor, observe it and switch it
off again if the rotation direction is incor-
rect.
2. Unplug the power plug.
3. Three-phase plug with phase inverter:
press it in and rotate it by 180°. (Figure
2a)
Three-phase plug without phase invert-
2.5 mm²;
max.
er: reverse the phases in the plug.
Repeat step 1.
4. If direction of rotation has not changed:
contact service partner.
2.4.6 Filling the mist oiler
For compressors with mist oiler:
1. Depressurise the compressor/vessel.
2. Unplug the power plug.
3. Unscrew the oil tank from the mist oiler.
(Figure 3a)
Use suitable oil (Art. No. B770000)!
2.4.7 Adjusting the mist oiler
1. Carefully screw the regulating screw
closed using a screwdriver in a clockwise
direction. The screw it open by 1/2 to 1
turn (Figure 3a).
2. When air is taken in, oil precipitation is
visible on the upper sight glass in the
form of drops.
Metering: 1 drop of oil for 300 – 600 l/
min air consumption. Readjust If neces-
sary and check regularly.
Caution: Use separate compressed air hoses
for air containing oil with a length ≤ 10 m.
Observe the Instruction Manual for "Com-
pressed air tools"!
2.4.8 Connecting the secondary
tank
1. De-pressurise entire compressor unit:
connect air gun to the safety quick-re-
lease coupling; discharge pressure from
the tanks.
2. Mount secondary tank to the frame of
the compressor and fasten down (Figure
cable
8a).
3. Remove plug from the evaporator (Fig-
ure 8c).
4. Guide condensate drain hose from the
secondary tank through the partition and
insert approx. 3 cm into the evaporator.
5. Connect air hose to the right quick-re-
lease coupling (Figure 8a).
6. Open ball valve on the secondary tank.
2.4.9 Removing the secondary
tank
1. Depressurise entire compressor unit:
connect air gun to the safety quick-re-
