INTENDED USE

The machine is intended for planing of firmly supported wooden materials, such as
beams and boards.

SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Wait for the cutter to stop before setting the tool down. An exposed cutter may
engage the surface leading to possible loss of control and serious injury.
2. Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, because the cutter
may contact its own cord. Cutting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts
of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
3. Fully unwind cable drum extensions to avoid potential overheating.
4. When an extension cable is required, you must ensure it has the right ampere
rating for your power tool and is in a safe electrical condition.
5. Ensure your mains supply voltage is the same as your tool rating.
6. After long working periods, external metal parts and accessories could be
hot.
7. Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the work-piece to
a stable platform. Holding the work by your hand or against the body leaves it
unstable and may lead to loss of control.
8. Do not force the planer. Let the tool do the work at a reasonable speed.
Overloading will occur if too much pressure is applied and the motor slows
resulting in inefficient planing and possible damage to the planer motor.
9. Always use a dust extraction system where possible.
10. Rags, cloths, cord, string and the like should never be left around the work
area.
11. Remove all nails, screws and other objects from the work-piece. You can
damage the blade and the tool by cutting into a nail or other foreign object. It
can also present a safety hazard.
12. Handle the blades very carefully.
13. Be sure that the blade clamping screws are securely tightened before
operation.
14. Always wear eye and ear protection and use a dust mask.
15. Hold the tool firmly with both hands.
16. Keep hands away from rotating parts.
17. Before using the tool on an actual work-piece, switch on and let it run for a
while. Watch for vibration or wobbling that could indicate poor installation or a
poorly balanced blade.
