Description of the products
The contact glasses, produced in conjunction with
Prof. Goldmann, for the examination of the angle
of the iris and the ocular fundus of the eye with the
slit lamp are valuable diagnostic accessories, which
have proved their use in ophthalmic practice and re-
search.
In conjuction with the slit lamps of the 900
range, they

give a binocular and stereoscopic view of the optical
section of the entire eye, even under unfavorable con-
ditions (cloudy media, small pupils, myopia, etc.).
The handling of the contact glasses is enhanced,
whilst working with the slit lamp 900
, by the good wor-

king distance between the patient and the examiner.
Designation
• The contact glasses designated with an "S" possess
L = Laser
S = Scleral
a special scleral flange, which helps to create a better
interface between the contact glass and the eyelid.
• Laser glasses are designated with an "L".
Material
• Contact glasses only for diagnostic purposes are
made of acrylic glass.
• Contact glasses for laser treatment applications
consist of mineral glass, or have a coated mineral
protection glass. The coating for antireflection is rea-
ched with a highly loadable coating and with high ad-
hesive strength for the applicable laser wavelengths.
