PREPARATION OF WORK AREA
AND WORKPIECE
1.
Keep the work area clean and well lit.
Keep children, onlookers and pets away
from the work area. You can easily
lose control of the product if you are
distracted.
2.
Route the power cord so that there is
no risk of tripping over or damaging it.
The cord must be long enough to ensure
freedom of movement when working.
3.
Put the burner nozzle on the workpiece,
keep the trigger on the burner pressed
until the arc lights up and starts cutting.
Make sure there are no leads or foreign objects
nearby that can put the work at risk.
4.
A suitable barrier, such as a welding
curtain, should be put up to protect
persons in the work area and to limit the
spread of sparks.
USE
WARNING!
Use suitable personal protective equipment
when working with the product. Use
approved, full coverage welding mask,
heavy-duty safety gloves, welding apron,
breathing protection and heavy-duty work
clothes without pockets when working
with the product. Do no look at the arc with
unprotected eyes – risk of permanent eye
damage. Radiation from the arc can cause
burn injury on bare skin. Avoid inhaling fumes.
IMPORTANT:
The duty factor indicates how many minutes
during a 10-minute period the product can
produce a given current.
This product has integrated overheating
protection to prevent damage. The red status
light goes on when the product overheats.
42
If the product overheats it switches off
automatically and can be restarted when it has
cooled. Stop using the product, but leave the
power switch switched on for the cooling fan.
The status light goes off when the product has
cooled and the work can be resumed.
1.
Place the workpiece on a metal welding
table in such a way that cut parts drop
down onto the concrete floor.
2.
The product should be placed at least
2 metres from the workpiece.
3.
Adjust the knob on the pressure regulator
so that the pressure gauge shows 4 to
5 bar (0.4–0.5 MPa). The supplied air
must be dry. It is recommended to fit a
moisture filter on the compressor (sold
separately). Do not use mist lubrication.
4.
Fasten the earth clip firmly on part of the
workpiece or the metal table, free from
paint, oil and dirt. Fasten the clip as close
to the workpiece as possible without
damaging the cable during the cutting.
5.
Set the required amperage with the
potentiometer (15–40 A) for the metal to be
cut. Use low amperage for thin workpieces
and high amperage for thick workpieces.
6.
Check that the power switch is switched
off and put the plug in a separate power
point with a slow blow fuse.
7.
Hold the burner firmly.
WARNING!
The burner is supplied with voltage when the
trigger is pressed. Make sure the burner is at
a safe distance from persons or flammable
material before the trigger is pressed.
8.
When everything is ready for cutting put
the power switch in the on position.
The green voltage indicator goes on.
WARNING!
Point the burner away from the body when
pressing the trigger, otherwise there is a risk
of serious personal injury.
