INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
If the cart is not used for short or long periods, press the battery disconnect switch (9) to disconnect the batteries from the circuit
and avoid dispersion.
To reactivate the battery connection, turn the disconnector button clockwise until it clicks outwards.
Charge the cart batteries as follows:
- Connect the battery charger cable to the connector under the cart platform (8);
- Connect the battery charger to the mains socket; check the specifications contained in the "Technical Data" table;
- Press the switch on the battery charger (15) to let electricity pass through and start charging.
The battery charger accommodates 2 indicators (16), which turn on during the charging process:
- one indicates that electricity is passing through (steady red light);
- one indicates the state of battery charge:
yellow light → à incomplete charge,
green light → full charge.
During the charging process, the keys should be in the (O) position.
NB: Turning the key to (I) at this stage will cause only the cart display to turn on, and the charge level to be shown through the LEDs.
NB: For safety reasons, during the charging process, the cart cannot be started through the butterfly handle.
Safety
In case a malfunction causes the batteries to overheat, a thermocouple installed between them will stop electricity from passing
through.
Replace the batteries as follows:
- Disconnect the connector (13) from the electric circuit at the point shown by the arrow.
- Open the battery compartment (12).
- Disconnect the malfunctioning batteries and replace them.
After the defective batteries have been replaced, press the external key of the battery compartment to let electricity pass through.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Installing/Removing accessory panels
Install the panels as follows:
1) Fit the front panel into the holes;
2) Install the side panels by fitting the pins into the hooks.
For safety reasons, always install all of the three accessory panels.
To remove the panels, proceed in reverse order.
Start/Stop
Before carrying out any operations, make sure that the cart is in the motorized mode (see section "Motorized handling").
To start the motorized cart, fit the key into the ignition switch (1) and turn the key to (I).
The power supply indicator (2) and the battery charge level display (3) will turn on.
NB: In case of an electrical system malfunction, the power supply indicator (2) will flash.
To stop the cart, turn the key to (O).
Loading/Unloading
During the loading/unloading process, make sure that the cart is in the motorized mode (see next section). The wheels will be
stopped by the motor brake.
Place the load on the cart platform, in the most suitable and firm position, being careful to comply with the loading limits reported
in the TECHNICAL DATA table.
Motorized handling (↓Power Operation)
To operate the cart in this mode, the motor lock lever (11) must be in the ↓Power Operation position.
Drive the cart using the steering knobs with both hands and push the butterfly handle (4) either forwards or backwards,
depending on the required direction.
Use the speed adjusting knob (5):
- Turning it anticlockwise will cause the cart to proceed at low speed
- Turning it clockwise will cause the cart to proceed at high speed
Releasing the butterfly handle will activate the electromagnetic brake and cause the platform cart to stop.
When the cart is moved backwards in the motorized mode, an intermittent beep will warn the operator of danger.
If, while moving the cart backwards, the "Emergency stop" button (6) should come into contact with the operator, the safety
system will activate the electromagnetic brake, thereby immediately stopping the driving direction and avoiding the danger of
crushing and injury for the operator.
In case the cart is operated in small spaces or the battery runs down during use, see next section ("Manual handling").
Manual handling
The manual handling mode can be activated in two different ways, depending on the requirements:
