To decalcify the machine, It Is recommended that
the LAVAZZA DESCALING agent should be
used.
Do not drink the descaling solution and the
supplied products.
Never use vinegar as a descaling solution.
Fill the tank with the LAVAZZA DESCALING
agent (8.7 fl oz/250 ml) and water (8.7 fl oz/250
ml). Fit the tank back into place on the machine.
Fit the tank and the tray back into place on the
machine, then place a container (min. capacity
16 fl oz/0.5 litres) under the dispenser.

DESCALING
Press the CAFFÈ LUNGO button
the descaling cycle.
The machine will automatically start the desca-
ling operation after the warming cycle is com-
pleted.
After the descaling cycle is activated, the machi-
ne will NOT go back to the auto switch-off after
9 minutes if the CAFFÈ LUNGO
not pressed.
During the descaling cycle:
• the CAFFÈ LUNGO button
ON and blinking;
• the descaling warning lamp
a orange steady light;
• the machine will automatically perform inter-
mittent supplying cycles until the tank is fully
emptied
The descaling cycle can be temporarily stopped
by pressing the CAFFÈ LUNGO
button.
To resume the cycle, press the CAFFÈ LUNGO
button again.
The cycle will be temporarily stopped when no
fluid is left in the tank.
Proceed with the rinsing cycle.
