Commissioning

Note
S Make sure that the operating conditions lie within the permitted ranges
(è Technical specifications).
The product is ready for operation as soon as it is fitted and electrically and
pneumatically connected.
Make sure that a process valve fitted to the DRD/DRE can be switched without

hindrance.
Slowly pressurize the DRD/DRE.

For slow start−up pressurization use
soft−start valve type HEL−...
Adjusting the end position limitation for variant DRD−/DRE−...−O
The end position limitation setting serves for optimizing the opening or closing
reaction of the connected process valve.
Adjustment of the end position limitation is only possible with quarter turn
actuator variant DRD−/DRE−...−O (overtravel, 98°) in sizes 8
Note
Turning the threaded rod while the locking nut is tightened can damage the
thread.
S Loosen the locking nut before turning the threaded rod.
S When you tighten the locking nut, make sure that the threaded rod is not also
turning.
