Zero setting:
Before you can use the scale for the first time, you must adjust the zero point manually.
– Place the scale on a flat and solid surface.
– After transport and setting up, the movable parts of the scale must first move to their respective
initial positions. You can accomplish that by operating the scale and stepping onto the platform
and down again several times.
– For setting the zero point, however, the platform must be clear.
– Find the adjusting wheel on the front side of the scale. Turn it to the left and/or to the right until
the pointer in the dial indicates the zero.
– The scale is ready for operation now.
You should repeat the procedure from time to time so you can be sure that you
always get the best results. Proceed as described above. This is particularly important
whenever you move the instrument to a new place / different surface.
Operating the scale:
– Step onto the platform of the scale.
– Be sure to place your feet in the centre of the platform. The distances between your feet and the
edges of the platform should be more or less the same on all sides. Try not to move.
– Wait until the pointer stops moving.
The pointer will always tremble a little because it is impossible to stand absolutely motionless on
the platform. However, the error is minimal. You may be confident to have a precise enough result
at all times.
Safety instructions:
- Your ADE Lifter Scale is a precision instrument which needs to be handled with care.
- When using the scale please always follow thoroughly the Operating Manual.
- Make sure no water or cleaning fluid is penetrating the scale.
Cleaning
For cleaning just take a damp cloth or common disinfection products.
Do not use any abrasive or strong chemical cleaners.
In order to achieve a long lifetime of your scale, make sure no water or fluids can penetrate into the
inside of the scale. Keep the scale away from high humidity or direct heat or sunlight.
