► From below, push the trimmer line up through
the right mounting hole and pull it back down
through the left mounting hole until it is even
with the bottom of the arrow (1).
► Hold the short end of the trimmer line firmly as
you pull the long end downward and then out
through the notch in the mowing head. Make
sure the trimmer line is firmly seated in the
notch (2).
► Repeat the mounting process on the other
side of the mowing head with the second
length of line.
► Cut the trimmer line so that it extends to the
line limiting blade.
NOTICE
■ Using the trimmer with overly long trimmer line
increases the load on the motor and reduces
its operating speed. This may result in over‐
heating and damage to important components.

Mounting the Loop Handle
WARNING
■ To reduce the risk of injury from loss of con‐
trol, ensure that the loop handle is properly
mounted and adjusted before starting work.
To mount the loop handle:
► Switch off the trimmer,
► Remove the battery,

► Line up the loop handle (2) with the mounting
hole on the trimmer, keeping the recess for the
star knob (1) on the right (see illustration).
► Insert the mounting screw (3) and tighten it
with the star knob.
14 Adjusting the Trimmer
14.1
Adjusting the Angle of the Trim‐
mer Head
WARNING
■ To reduce the risk of injury from loss of con‐
trol, ensure that the loop handle and drive tube
are properly adjusted and the trimmer head
adjustment latch are locked and secured at all
times while working.
The angle of the trimmer head can be adjusted in
4 different positions to suit the height and reach
of the operator.
To adjust the angle of the trimmer head:
► Switch off the trimmer,
► Remove the battery,

► Press and hold the trimmer head adjustment
latch (1).
► Tilt the drive tube (2) down to the desired
operating position (A to D) until it locks.
► Release the trimmer head adjustment latch.
