Fitting the motor to the right−angle gear unit
Please note
The drive head and the right−angle gear unit form a pair which must not be
separated.
The orientation of the right−angle gear unit (motor fitted from left/right)
must not be modified.
1. Clean the shaft pin and the coupling. The
coupling will only grip the shaft pin with−
out slipping if the pin is free of grease.
2. Push the cantilever arm until the locking
screw of the coupling is under one of the
mounting holes B.
3. Unscrew the locking screw of the coupling
a few turns.
4. Push the motor onto the right−angle gear unit.
The motor flange must lie without play on the gear flange.
5. Tighten the connecting screws A in diagonally opposite sequence.
Tightening torque: DGEA−18/25: 5.9 Nm. DGEA−40: 24 Nm.
6. Tighten the locking screw of the coupling through the mounting hole B.
Tightening torque: DGEA−18/25: 4.5 Nm. DGEA−40: 16.5 Nm.
7. Press the plastic knobs into the mounting holes B (protection against dirt).
Fastening the sensors
Use a fastening kit for sensors in accordance with the chapter Accessories".
S
Make sure that you include a stroke reserve in the length of the cantilever arm.
S
If inserted correctly, the stroke reserve guarantees that emergency braking is
still possible between the programmed and the mechanical end positions.
Mount the fastening kit for sensors in accordance with the operating instruc
S
tions.
