10 Operating Instructions
2.7.3 Potential Equalization Cable
The lack of a potential equalization cable or the use of a defective potential
equalization cable may result in damage and may cause life-threatening injuries, e .g .
as a result of electric shocks .
Only switch the device on when the potential equalization cable is connected .

Use the potential equalization cable provided .

If the potential equalization cable needs to be replaced: Please contact Sartorius
t
Service . Do not repair or modify the potential equalization cable .
2.8 Conduct in an Emergency
If there is immediate danger of personal injury or equipment damage, e .g ., due to
malfunctions or dangerous situations, the device must be immediately taken out of
operation .
Press the emergency shut-off switch . This means that the power supply to the
t
device is interrupted and all lifting or mixing motions will be stopped .
Leave the emergency switch-off switch in the engaged position until the faults
t
or malfunctions have been resolved .
Malfunctions should be resolved by Sartorius Service .

When the fault or malfunction is repaired: Disengage the emergency shut-off
t
switch . To do so, pull out the emergency shut-off switch until the green ring on
the emergency shut-off switch is visible .
2.9 Accessories, Consumables, and Spare Parts
The use of unsuitable accessories, consumables, and spare parts can affect the
functionality and safety of the device and have the following consequences:
− Risk of injury to persons
− Damage to the device
− Malfunction of the device
− Device failure
You should only use approved accessories, consumables, and spare parts supplied

Only use accessories, consumables, and spare parts that are in proper working

order .
