large coupling ring (6), on support pipes carefully. Swing flask axis with coupling ring in-line
with axis of rotation, until flange is centered in drive head. Secure PTFE-adapter (not shown)
with PTFE-O-ring tight by CW turn. Double-check for firm seat. Return support pipes to initial
position (7). Release drive lock (3). Caution: Basic position of support pipes is monitored by
the electronic circuit; when leaving this position, all electric functions of the system will freeze.
This situation is reported by the Flask Support LED on the control panel.
46. Automatic water refill (water bath
model only)
The LABOROTA 20 control WB features a
automatic water refill system with float switch.
The float switch (1) monitors water level in the
heating bath. When dropping below normal
level (about. 30 mm below tank rim), a
solenoid valve (2, next para.) opens the water
supply until reaching the normal fill level.
Cooling water is supplied to the heating bath
via pipe.
The float switch needs to be connected with
plug connector (3).
Caution: For technical reasons automatic refill
requires the heating bath lift to be at its upper
most position.
Upward lift travel is limited by the float switch.
Water control valve on the rear must be
connected.
The float switch may fail due to calcareous deposits, causing the hot bath to be overfilled
or overflow. We recommend to decalcify this float switch every 6 months.
To this end uninstall float switch (disconnect plug connector (3) and loosen float switch
(1) attaching screws with a screwdriver.
Use commercial grade decalcifying agent (go by instructions on the pack), and immerse
float switch until fluid level reaches coupling nut. For treatment time refer to instructions
on the pack.
