If the prosthesis is shut down or the battery heavily drained, the heel height reference may be
lost. When reconnected, the prosthesis will be automatically reset
➔ Repeat the procedure for setting a suitable ankle angle for walking (see §6.A).
Detection of malfunctions
If you notice any abnormal behavior or feel any changes in the characteristics of the
device, or in case of a severe impact, or exposure to temperatures beyond defined limits,
consult your Certified Prosthetist.
Warning, contraindications, side effects
A.
Any modification of this device is prohibited.
Do not use non-PROTEOR accessories – risk of malfunction and electrocution.
Young children: Risk of inhalation or ingestion of small parts, which could detach due to
wear. Risk of strangulation with the charger cables. Keep the prosthesis and its accessories out
of the reach of children.
The heel height can be adjusted. An inappropriate setting may cause loss of comfort or balance.
The settings also enable mode switches, to modify the knee's behavior in stance phase. Using
the wrong mode may cause a fall.
Pay attention to the vibration and audible signals.
In case of doubt, stop walking and check that the prosthesis is working
properly.
Look up the alert indicators on the SYNSYS Smartphone app, if applicable.
To reduce the risk of falling when going downstairs, it is advisable to hold
on to the handrail.
If the prosthesis emits an alert, stop immediately and check that the knee
has the right resistance level.
You should be particularly careful when carrying a heavy load, especially
a child: the behavior of the prosthesis may be altered (knee resistance /
freed).
Despite all the safety mechanisms provided by this prosthetic solution,
there are still risks involved in walking on loose, slippery or rough ground
(sand, wet soil...)
