4.4 Installation conditions for the outdoor version
The 'Outdoor version' specification requires that the interior module is located in the protected
indoor area. The exterior module is located in the outdoor area.
Outdoor installation of the interior module is not permitted!

Installation reference
• The outdoor version of the DT 400c FH may be mounted on fire
resistant doors
•
ATTENTION: Installation at a distance of < 1 km from the sea is at
your own risk due to the possibility of corrosion. Visual impairments
cannot be ruled out in this case.
Carry out the following measures after 24 months of operation at the
latest to ensure the specified protection:
• Check / replace the optional silicone seal if there is one present
• Check / replace the seal in the handle holder

• Caution: It is essential to use the sealed rosette foil for installations
exposed to weathering. Otherwise there is a risk that the profile
cylinder will freeze and emergency opening may no longer be
possible.

When using rosette foil with PZ cut-out, the PZ manufacturer's
instructions regarding water compatibility must be observed

If the installation is exposed to heavy weathering, we recommend
sealing the handle rosette and the reader rosette with silicone all
the way round

• NO water jet protection
• When using the rosette foil with PZ cut-out, the PZ manufacturer's
instructions regarding dust-tightness must be followed.
• The reader rosette is protected from dust.
• The ingress of dust is not completely prevented, but this will not
stop the unit from functioning properly.
• ATTENTION: (Desert) sand is explicitly excluded from this.
Installation / operation near the desert / beach is at your own risk.
Depending on the intensity of the dust, functional impairments
cannot be ruled out.
