► Insert scarifying roller (2) or combing roller (4)
together with holder (3) in the mount.
► Install screws (1) and tighten firmly.

Repairing the Lawn Scarifier
and Battery
The user should not repair the lawn scarifier, bat‐
tery or rollers themselves.

Remedying Lawn Scarifier or Battery Faults
Fault

► If the lawn scarifier, battery or rollers are dam‐
aged:do not use the lawn scarifier, battery or
rollers and consult a STIHL specialist dealer.
► If warning signs are illegible or damaged:have
the warning signs replaced by a STIHL spe‐
cialist dealer.
Cause
The battery charge
state is too low.
The battery is too
warm or too cold.
There is a fault in the
lawn scarifier.
The lawn scarifier is
too warm.
There is a fault in the
battery.
The electrical connec‐
tion between the lawn
scarifier and battery
has been interrupted.
The lawn scarifier or
battery are damp.
The resistance at the
roller is too great.
The area around the
roller is blocked.
Remedy
► Charge the battery.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the battery to cool down or warm
up.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean the electric contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Fit the battery.
► Switch the lawn scarifier on.
► If 3 LEDs still flash red:do not use the
lawn scarifier and consult a STIHL spe‐
cialist dealer.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the lawn scarifier to cool down.
► Remove the battery and fit it again.
► Switch the lawn scarifier on.
► If 4 LEDs still flash red:do not use the
battery and consult a STIHL specialist
dealer.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean the electric contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Insert the activation key.
► Fit the battery.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean the lawn scarifier.
► Allow the lawn scarifier or battery to dry.
► Reduce the working depth.
► Check the grass height and mow if
necessary.
► Clean the lawn scarifier.
