GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.

 Remove the battery pack.
 Remove the auger bit from the drive shaft by unlocking
the quick release pin.
 Store the locking pin in the auger when not in use.
 Clean dirt and debris from the auger bit, using a damp

Remove the auger bit from the digging tool before
cleaning with water. Do not wet the motor housing.
NOTE: Do not use any strong detergents on the plastic
housing or the handle. They can be damaged by certain
aromatic oils such as pine and lemon, and by solvents
