Assembling the sensor head

The sensor head housing has bore holes with M4 threads.
Using screws, the sensor head can be connected two
different ways to the machine part: using either the M4
thread in the sensor head or the M3 thread in the machine
part.
Mounting via the thread in the machine part
► Guide the screws through the housing and screw into
the machine part (see Fig. 4-3 and Tab. 4-1).

1. Provide for through holes on the machine part,

2. Attach the sensor head, paying attention to the correct
alignment (see Fig. 4-1 and Fig. 4-2 on page 11),
distances and tolerances (see sections 4.4.1 through
4.4.2 starting on page 13).
3. Secure the screws against unintended loosening
(e.g. with locking paint).
