2 Method of operation and use
The cylinder valve combination type DNCV−...
combines the following individual compo
nents into one unit:
pneumatic cylinder with end position
cushioning,
pneumatic valve with exhaust restriction and
proximity switch for end position scanning.
The compressed air applied to port aA is
conducted by the integrated valve alternately into one of the piston chambers of
the cylinder and then into the other. This causes the piston rod connected to the
piston to move backwards and forwards. There are adjusting screws in the pneu
matic valve for restricting the exhaust. The speed of the piston rod can also be set
with this screw. The pneumatic cushioning can be modified with the adjusting
screws 8. The integrated proximity switches can be adjusted with the wheels 7
and enable the end positions to be scanned.
The cylinder valve combination type DNCV−... has been designed for transporting
mass loads. The DNCV−...−5/3G−... (with pneumatically held piston rod) is not in
tended for use in devices where safety is of importance (e.g. emergency stop func
tions).
