WARNING:
Never leave the mower unattended when the motor is
running or with the key in the power switch. Verify that
the parking brake is set and the key has been removed.
Failure to set the parking brake could cause the mower
to move, and leaving the key could allow unauthorized
use that could result in serious personal injury.

ADJUSTING THE SEAT

See Figure 5.
Adjust the seat position forward or backward to ensure you
are able to make firm contact with the brake pedal before
operating the mower. The seat suspension knob allows the
adjustment of a softer or firmer ride.
To move the seat forward or backward:
„ Turn the key to the OFF position and set the parking brake.
„ Sit down on seat and lift the seat adjustment bar.
„ While lifting up the bar, slide the seat to the desired
position.
„ Release the bar and make sure the seat is locked in posi-
tion before operating the mower.
To adjust the seat suspension:
„ Turn the key to the OFF position and set the parking brake.
„ Sit down on seat and while holding the suspension knob,
rotate it to adjust the seat for a softer to firmer setting.
WARNING:
Be sure the seat is locked into place before operating the
mower. A seat that is not secure can cause the operator
to shift and lose control of the mower and result in pos-
sible death or serious personal injury.
