NOTICE
Damage to the screed as a re-
sult of incorrect temperatures
f Carry out the incremental heating
test of concrete and calcium sul-
phate screed in accordance with
DIN EN 1264-4.
f Observe the instructions of the
screed manufacturer.
f Adapt the flow temperature to the
surface heating system.
f Do not exceed the screed temper-
ature specified as per DIN 1264-4
near the heating pipes.
Apply heating screed complying with standards
after plastering.
Start the incremental heating test at the earli-
est:
• 21 days after laying of concrete screed
• 7 days after laying of calcium sulphate
screed

7.3 Incremental heating test

Proceed as follows during the incremental
heating test:
1. Open the valve fully by turning the white
protection cap about one turn.
2. Set the volume flow of the surface heating
circuit with the help of the regulating insert
(see section 3.4.2 on page 26).
Control the flow temperature via
the heat generator control.
3. Start with a flow temperature between
20°C and 25°C for at least 3 days.
4. Then heat at the maximum design flow
temperature for at least 4 days.

7.4 Cover with thermostat

1. After having completed all building work,
remove the protection cover of the "Unibox
E BV".
2. Remove the protection cap.
3. Screw the control piston (see Illust. 2 on
page 25 (9)) onto the valve. Direct the
capillary downwards.
The capillary must not be kinked.
You can hang the cover with the
plastic strip on the venting valve in
order to aid mounting.
4. Fit the valve insulation (see Illust. 2 on page
25(10)) to the "Unibox E BV".
5. Fit the cover to the "Unibox E BV".

Operation
You set the room temperature at the thermo-
stat.
