Assembly
The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a
specialist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations.
The maintenance, operation and commissioning of this product may only
be carried out by qualified personnel.
When selecting the location for installing your device, take care that it will
not be subjected to shaking, vibrations, dust, heat, cold and moisture. Fur-
thermore, keep the product away from strong transformers or motors.
The stroboscope may only be operated in locations where the ambient tem-
perature is less than 40 °C.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
Illuminated objects must be at least 0.5 m away from the device's light out-
let. Easily-flammable materials, such as decorative fabrics, must be at least
0.5 m from the device. Otherwise, such materials may catch fire!
During installation and service work, the area below the installation loca-
tion must be cordoned off.
The installation surface or mounting fixture must be designed so that it can
withstand ten times the loading capacity for at least one hour without per-
manent damaging deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety
restraint, which is independent of the proper mounting supports, when the
device is installed in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part
of the installation should be able to fall down.
• Set up the stroboscope on a level and sturdy surface or mount it using the instal-
lation clamp on the ceiling, the wall or a suited traverse system. When mounting,
make sure that the device cannot swing freely.
• Secure the device with installation material that is compatible with the fastening
surface and suitable for carrying the weight of the stroboscope.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. The
safety restraint cable or net must be able to support the device in the event of a fault
in the main support system.
• Set the desired angle of inclination and tighten the bracket screws carefully.
Mains connection
Connect the stroboscope only to a normal mains socket connected to the
public supply.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains
voltage may cause fatal electric shocks.
Make sure that the voltage specification on the stroboscope matches the
mains voltage of your power supplier. Never attempt to operate the device
with any other voltage.
Make sure that the connecting cable cannot be pinched or damaged by
sharp edges when making the connection.
The mains socket to which the device is connected must be near the device
and easily accessible, so that the device can be quickly isolated from the
mains power supply in the event of any fault.
Plug the power plug into a wall outlet.
Operation
Never operate the stroboscope without protective screen or with a dam-
aged protective screen. Life-threatening high voltage is present on the
flash tube. Let authorized personnel replace the damaged protective screen
immediately.
Never touch the device during operation or immediately after operation, as
it becomes hot. There is a risk of burns.
The stroboscope is a lighting effect device. After use, disconnect the de-
vice from mains power (pull the plug!). Continuous use can otherwise shor-
ten the lifetime of such a device.
Never touch the contacts of the power plug immediately after disconnec-
tion (perilous electric shock danger!).
• After connecting the power plug to the power grid, the device is ready for use.
• Set the flash speed of the stroboscope by SPEED control on the device rear panel.

Handling
• Never operate the device with damaged housing or missing covers.
• Do not plug the power plug into a mains socket immediately after the device was
• Never remove the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always unplug
• Always disconnect the power plug from the mains socket, when the device is not in
• For safety reasons always unplug the mains plug from the socket during a thunder-
• Do not cover the device in any way so that sufficient ventilation is ensured. In ad-
Maintenance and care
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry
brush.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions; this may damage the
surface of the case.

dition, the air circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines,
tablecloths, curtains or similar items.
Before cleaning the stroboscope, disconnect it from the power supply (un-
plug the mains plug!).
Make sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
If the illuminant is faulty or deformed due to exposure to heat, the device
should be disposed of. The illuminant is not replaceable.
