Cementoplasty is a low-traumatic and minimally invasive, surgi-
cal procedure performed in a short operating time that leads to
a fast post operating recovery (Compared to the limb-sparing
surgical procedure and the amputation).
Thanks to this surgical procedure, BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU
strengthens the injected bone thus enabling to preserve the
function of the limb by clinically reducing lameness and the risk
of pathological fractures. BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU also helps
to relieve pain, therefore increasing the animal's well-being by
mechanically reinforcing the bone affected by the tumor.
TARGET SPECIES
BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU is intended for the cementoplasty at
weightbearing bones of the appendicular skeleton of dogs and
cats.
AREA OF APPLICATION
BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU is intended for cementoplasty of
bone weakened by a disease, a bone injury (traumatic or surgi-
cally induced) and for filling large bone defect.
BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU must only be applied to a well vas-
cularized and non-infected bone site.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU is an implantable product and de-
signed for use in open or minimally invasive applications.

The BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU package includes a 7G can-
nula. When using the cannula, the force required for application
is increased. It must be noted that, some of the BIOCERA-VET®
OSA RTU will remain in the cannula and is thus not available for
filling the defect.
BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU can also be applied without using a
cannula.
The veterinarian is responsible for the patient's treatment plan,
including the duration and timing of the clinical and radiological
follow-up. The patient must follow to the veterinarian's treatment
plan. During the pre-operation discussion, the patient's owner
should be informed about the treatment conditions with BIO-
CERA-VET® OSA RTU according to the instructions for use.
Preparation of 12 cc version
The BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU package contains a pre-filled
syringe, a spindle drive and a cannula. Open the packages that
contain the syringe with BIOCERA-VET® OSA RTU..
