the glass area is clean and free of any dirt or deposits before
mounting the nozzles. For the best results, mount the nozzles
as close as possible to the front opening windows and the top

5. Direct the nozzle positions inside the terrarium so that the spray
stream will avoid spraying on the terrarium's front and side
panels when in operation.
6. Use the additional suction cups to neatly guide the tubing along
the side panels to the inlets at the back of the terrarium.
7. Replace the top screen cover and lock it back into position.
8. Close the remaining inlets by sliding the slider against the tubing
or wires to prevent escape from feeding insects and smaller
animals. (fig. C)
9. Remove any slack in the tubing inside the terrarium. Make sure
there are no kinks in the tubing which would impede water flow
to the nozzles. Verify that the suction cups are properly attached.
10. Connect the tubing from the nozzles to the Y-connector by
pressing the tubing firmly into one of the side-by-side holes as
far as possible. Connect both nozzles. (fig. D)
11. Connect the tubing to the remaining hole of the Y-connector by
pressing it firmly inside as far as possible. (fig. E)
12. Place the Monsoon unit on a solid, level surface.
13. Connect the tubing coming from the Y-connector to the top of the
unit by pressing the tubing firmly into the connector on top of the
control unit. (fig.F)
14. Make sure that the filter is properly connected to the spigot on
the underside of the control unit and placed inside the reservoir.
15. Ensure that the top of the Monsoon unit fits tightly on top of the
reservoir.
16. Open the water reservoir filler cap on top of the unit, and fill the
6
reservoir with de-mineralized/distilled water up to a maximum of
2,5 cm (1") from the top rim of the transparent reservoir. (Using
regular tap water will cause clogging of the nozzles by mineral
deposits!) (fig. G)
17. Close the filler cap and connect the power supply jack to the
back of the unit.
18. Make sure the unit is in its final operating location, on a solid,
level surface.
19. Plug the power adaptor into the wall socket, your Exo Terra
Monsoon Programmable Misting system is now ready to use.
In order to remove the tubing from either the Y-connector or
the unit, press and hold the blue ring down, while pulling out
the tubing. Please note that nozzles can be mounted in multiple
terrariums.
