All presettings and data related to the last measurements you've taken are stored in the memory, as
you switch your RUGOSURF 10G off. Used as battery-powered gauge unit, it turns off automatically
when left disable for 40 seconds (or 4 minutes when plugged into the mains socket).
The RS232 data output allows the roughness unit to be linked to an optional printer or to a host
computer. For the connection, use only the cables provided by TESA.
With the instrument connected to the printer, you can get a user-definable 3-line header. With the
appropriate software linked to a computer, you will be able to check all functions, transfer the
measured profile, input or change values in the customized header.
Enabling the various printing modes available is only possible through the keyboard on the optional
Matrix Printer.

Your gauge unit can be entirely controlled over the keypad located on the right side. References to its
keys are available on the top face.
Some keys are able to execute a function directly while the others are used to select the menu or sub-
menu that will let you set the unit according to your needs.
The function of some keys will even differ depending on the measuring job.
