3.1.3 Connecting to the external command
Use the pilot wire. Connect the electric wire to
the programming base unit fitted with a pilot
wire.
If the pilot wire is not connected to a

programming base unit then it must be
insulated for safety reasons. In no event
should it be connected to the earth.

4.1.4 Identifying malfunctions
HEATING ELEMENT

If the pilot wire is connected, the mode is
controlled by the signal emitted by the
programming base unit. § 6.1. The
selected mode is indicated by the status
light. If the pilot wire IS NOT connected,
then the thermostat is controlled in
comfort mode and the red light comes.
If the thermostat is connected to the
Cyclope
®
radio control, the operating
mode is controlled by the signal emitted
by the radio control.
The normal comfort operating mode
is on. The temperature is that dialled
by knob ➁.
The night-time economy mode is on.
The temperature is automatically 3.5°C
lower than that of the comfort mode.
The frost-protection mode is on.
The temperature is set at 7°C. This
minimal temperature means material
runs no risk of freezing up.
The heating element is operating
normally.
There is a problem with the
thermostat.
