Inflating the pneumatic tires
(of the Rollz Motion Performance)
The Rollz Motion has solid rubber tires made of PU and EVA foam, while the Rollz
Motion Performance has four pneumatic tires.These pneumatic tires need to be
provided with extra air regularly for optimal usage (Figure 59). The inner tubes
are equipped with Schrader valves, also known as car valves. Always bring the
included pump with you on the road to use it if necessary. It fits in the bag of the
wheelchair package.
About two pumps per band are usually enough to get the recommended
pressure. Both rear tires must have a maximum pressure of 2.5 bar (≈ 2.5
atmospheres or 35 PSI or 240 kPa). The front tires may have a maximum
pressure of 4.5 bar (≈ 4.5 atmospheres or 65 PSI or 450 kPa). Do not inflate
them too hard.
NOTE
Check frequently whether the tires still have enough air. If pushing the Rollz
Motion becomes harder, than the tires are too soft.
CAUTION
Do not inflate the tires over the advised pressure because they could explode
under high pressure.
