INFORMATION ON DISPOSAL IN ITALY.
In Italy, WEEE must be accordingly handed over to:
- Collection Centres (also called recycling depots or waste separation areas) provided
by the City or urban hygiene Companies (home pick-up services for large WEEE are also
available in many locations);
- the shop were the new appliance is bought, who is required to provide free pick-up
("one-for-one" basis);
- any shop*, who is required to provide free pick-up and without a purchase ("one-for-
zero" basis).
In this case:
1) the WEEE, in order to be handed-in, must be "very small" (height, depth and width of
less than 25 cm);
*2) the shop that the WEEE will be handed in to must have a sales area of more than 400
sqm.
