4 Commissioning
4.1 Setup
The equipment can be used as a benchtop unit, although it is also suitable for wall mounting�
4.1.1 Benchtop Unit
Select a stable underlay on which to set the unit up�
4.1.2 Wall Mounting
With the aid of the wall mounting kit (refer to the accessories), the unit can be securely mounted on a
wall�
The mounting instructions are included in the mounting kit�
4.1.3 Setup Recommendations
Operate the unit at room temperature 18 - 24 ºC [64 – 75 ºF]�
When setting up the unit, please note the following:
• Do not place the unit under a heat source�
• Do not place the unit in front of open windows�
• Do not set the unit up where it will be subjected to direct sunlight�
• Do not expose the unit to high humidity�
4.2 Connection and Starting
The equipment may only be operated if the information on
the rating plate conforms to the specifications of your local
mains power supply.
⇒ Connect the provided power cord (19, Fig� 1) to the mains con-
nection socket (18)�
⇒ Plug the power cord into the wall outlet�
⇒ Switch the unit on at the mains power switch (16)�
4.3 Remove Shipping Restraint
The shipping restraint must be removed before the unit may be
operated:
⇒ Connect the equipment as described in Chapter 4�2 and switch it
on�
⇒ Close the unit cover (8, Fig� 1)�
⇒ Press the retract key (4)�
♦ The pressure plates (9, Fig� 1) retract to their home position
where they stop�
⇒ Open the unit cover�
⇒ Remove the shipping restraint (23)�
The unit is now ready for use�
