Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device does not
work.
The grill basket or the
rotating spit do not
rotate.
The food has not
been cooked evenly.
You have made chips
from fresh potatoes.
The result is not
crispy.
You have prepared
frozen chips. They are
not crispy.
The food is not evenly
mixed around in the
grill basket.
The food has not
been completely
cooked.

Possible cause/solution
• Is the mains plug correctly inserted in the plug socket?
• Is the cable connected to the device?
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• Have you pressed the On/Off switch?
• Have you set a cooking time and cooking temperature?
• Check whether the inserts are inserted correctly.
• Is there enough free space on all sides of the bowl?
• Have you tried to cook different foods with different cook-
ing times simultaneously? If you would like to cook differ-
ent foods, make sure that the cooking times of the foods
are similar!
• Was the set cooking time too short? Extend the cooking
time!
• The grill basket is overfi lled. Reduce the quantity of food.
• Use waxy potatoes. Young potatoes contain more water
and therefore take longer to cook and it is possible that
they may not go as crispy.
• The grill basket is too full, place fewer potatoes into the
device.
• The chips are cut too thick, cut them into thinner pieces.
• Spray the uncooked potatoes with a little bit of oil from the
oil atomiser as this will make them go crispier.
• Have you used oil? For the preparation of frozen products,
there is generally no need to add any fat as most frozen
products are already prefried!
• The grill basket is too full. You will get the best results if
you fi ll the grill basket no more than ¾ full with food.
• The selected temperature is too low. Set it higher.
• The cooking time is too short. Adjust the cooking time.
• The grill basket is overfi lled. Reduce the quantity of food.
