These installation instructions contain import-
ant information on a later installation of the WS-
BP .../WS-BPR ... bypass shutters
Installation is permissible in the following ventilation units:
• WS-BP 320: WR 310 and WS 320... ventilation units (left-
hand version)
• WS-BP 470: WR 410 and WS 470... ventilation units (left-
hand version)
• WS-BPR 320: WR 310 R and WS 320 ..R.. ventilation
units (right-hand version)
• WS-BPR 470: WR 410 R and WS 470 ..R.. ventilation
units (right-hand version)
The bypass shutter is activated and configured using the

1 Safety
The installation and electrical connection of the
WS-BP .../WS-BPR ... bypass shutter may only be
carried out by ventilation specialists and qualified
electricians.
• Read these instructions and the installation instructions
of the ventilation unit carefully and completely before
installation.
• Also observe the safety instructions of the ventilation
unit.
• Follow the instructions.
• Pass these instructions on to the owner/operating com-
pany for safekeeping.
Safety devices are designed for your protection
and must not be bypassed or tampered with.
2 Scope of delivery
WS-BP.../WS-BPR... bypass shutter incl. motor and con-
nection cable, retrofit sticker and these installation instruc-
tions.
3 Intended use
Automatic bypass shutter with position feedback for open-
ing and closing the summer bypass of the WR 310, WR
410, WS 320 or WS 470 central ventilation units. When the
bypass is open, outside air is led straight past the heat ex-
changer of the ventilation unit into the living areas (opera-
tion without heat recovery).

6 Installation
6.1 Installation instructions
NOTICE: Incorrect wiring will result in unit damage. Make
electrical connections only according to wiring diagram.
NOTICE: If the connection cables are too short, the elec-
tronics slide-in module cannot be fully pulled out/fitted.
Do not shorten the supplied connection cable. It is already
cut to the right length.
CAUTION: Risk of injury when fans are running. Before re-
moving the front cover, wait until the fans have stopped.
CAUTION: Risk of burns from hot housing parts on units
with preheating register. After removing the front cover,
do not touch the heat register. First wait until the heat re-
gister and the housing parts have cooled off.
WARNING: Keep packaging material out of the reach of
children. There is a risk of choking if small parts and pack-
aging materials are swallowed.
6.2 Retrofitting bypass shutter
1. Switch the mains fuse off.
2. Tilt front panel forwards at the two top corners (detach
from the magnets) and remove upwards.
3. Loosen the 4 screws of the inner cover (bayonet lock)
and remove it. Note information on sticker.
4. Remove the EPP bypass cover from the EPP housing at
the rear left of the exhaust duct (position I, small re-
cessed grip at the rear).
5. Cut a groove for the connection cable into the EPP
housing at position II.
6. Push the bypass shutter into the bypass shaft as far as
it will go.
