No guarantee claims for the WAP-7D and the acces-
sories and no liability for any resulting personal damage
or material damage will be accepted if they are used for
other purposes than originally intended, if they are not
correctly connected or operated, or not repaired in an
expert way.
If the WAP-7D and the charger are to be put out
of operation definitively, take these parts to a local
recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful
to the environment.

3 Applications

The WAP-7D is a very handy 7 W digital amplifier with in-
tegrated speaker. Due to the power supply with a re -
chargeable battery and the versatile carrying facilities, the
WAP-7D is suitable for mobile use of up to 30 hours for
many applications (lectures, sporting events, sales events,
etc.). Two different microphones are supplied for speech
reproduction. An audio unit (e. g. CD/MP3 player) for music
reproduction can be connected via a line input.

4 Recharging the Battery

The WAP-7D has two rechargeable lithium ion batteries for
power supply. Recharge the batteries prior to the first
operation:
1) Connect the charger to the jack DC IN (7) and to a
socket (100 – 240 V~/50 – 60 Hz). After a few seconds
the indicating bar (1) shows red. It is not necessary to
switched on the WAP-7D.
2) Charging can take up to 3 hours. When the batteries are
fully charged, the indicating bar shows green. Discon-
nect the charger from the socket, otherwise the batter-
ies will be overcharged which may lead to damage
(overheating, reduction of the battery lifetime).
3) The WAP-7D can be operated with fully charged batter-
ies for approx. 30 hours. If the volume is adjusted to a
low level, the possible operating time will be extended.
IMPORTANT! Once the indicating bar shows yellow,
recharge the batteries as soon as possible. Do not store
the WAP-7D with batteries discharged. Thus, the life-
time of the batteries will be reduced.
Only replace defective batteries by specialized person-
nel! Only batteries of the same type must be inserted
(
Specifications).
Do not put defective batteries into the house-
hold rubbish but take them to a special waste
disposal (e. g. collective container at your re-
tailer) which is not harmful to the environment.
