LEVEL RAIL

TOP RAIL – END POSTS
To determine length at which to cut top
rail, measure the length of the rail panel.
Add 2 ¹⁄
" to the end of your rail panel if it's
8
connecting to an end over-the-top post. For
example, if your rail section is connecting to
an end over-the-top post on both ends, you'd
add 2 ¹⁄
" to both ends of your top rail.
8
NOTE: No length needs to be added to
top rail for any top rail end connecting to a
standard, non over-the-top Avalon post.

TOP RAIL – MID POSTS
To determine length at which to cut top rail,
measure the length of the rail panel. Add 1
³⁄
" to the end of your rail panel that will be

connecting to a mid over-the top-post. For
example, if your rail section is connecting to
a mid over-the-top post on both ends, you'd
add 1 ³⁄
" to both ends of your top rail.

TOP RAIL – CORNER POSTS
To determine the length at which to cut your
top rail for a corner post, miter cut one end
of your top rail at a 45o angle (Fig. 15). From
the long end of the cut, measure 2 ¹⁄
panel length + clearance for end or mid over-
the-top posts if needed. Cut your top rail to
this length (Fig. 16).
NOTE: No length needs to be added to
top rail for any top rail end connecting to a
standard, non over-the-top Avalon post.
