Radio settings

Prior to set your transmitter, please disconnect every pushrod connected to the servos !
The following settings can be used with any heli transmitter.
You have to create a new «heli» model memory with 120°CCPM swashplate ON (3
servos directly connected to the swashplate).
Power your receiver using a 4.8V battery. To prevent any unwanted hazardous maneuver,
do not power the ESC for the moment
do not power the ESC for the moment.
Check that the cyclic servos are rotating counter clock wise when you push the pitch
stick to the top. If not, inverse the servo direction INDIVIDUALLY on your transmitter.
Then center the trottle/pitch stick and put the horns horizontally on the servos. You can
eventually fine tune each servo position using the «SUB TRIM» function on your
transmitter
transmitter.
Cyclic settings are about 45% for the nick (ELEVATOR) and 45% for ailerons too
(AILERON).
WARNING ! Do not mistake the CYCLIC FUNCTIONS (elevator, aileron) with the
CHANNELS NAMES. A cyclic function is the result of the mix of three channels inputs
Aileron, Elevator and Pitch (AUX1 on Spektrum radios). Modifying each channel

separatly will only cause trouble to the hole heli setting.
Check that the swashplate is moving the right way for « AILERON» and «ELEVATOR»
functions, if necessary, inverse the swashplate moving direction in the SWASHPLATE
menu (DO NOT reverse each servos separately).
For the PITCH function (In the swashplate mixing menu), use about 55% throw as a
begining and adjust to get a total pitch angle of about +11°
Pitch curve has to be linear, from -4 to +11°approximately. To do this, go to the «pitch
curve» menu and put the first left point up to get -4°on the blades. Simply adjust the
intermediate points to get a fine straight line to the 100% final right point (+11°on the
blades). After a few flights, you can smooth the curve around the hover point.

The limits setting on the RUDDER channel do not affect the limits on the tail rotor, this
only affects the speed of the inputs. The physical limits of the tail servo is done by the
Gyro most of the time. Please refer to your Gyro manual for further details.
