For clients who purchase or use their YT Industries
mountain bike outside Germany: please enquire yourself
about the traffic regulations that apply in your country.
Designated use
In addition to our assembly instructions you find the user
manuals of the component manufacturers enclosed to your
bike. They contain information about use, maintenance and
care of the respective product. Follow the directions and
keep the manuals safe.
Damages that result from improper and inappropriate use,
are not included in our warranty.
This includes:
Improper or poor maintenance and care
Damages caused by crashes or overload/ overstressing
Changing of the frame or fork
Changing of components
Jumps or other strains that result in overstraining the
bike
Operating the bike with a total weight exceeding 120 kg

Important

We shall not be liable for physical damage or personal
injury that result from using the mountain bike. From an
outside perspective, skills of professional mountain bike
riders often seem easy to copy. In reality these skills are the
result of many years of training and constant practice.
For your own safety, always wear appropriate protection
gear. We furthermore recommend wearing a helmet
whenever using your bike.
Things always seem to happen when you least expect
them.
Maintenance and service intervals
Only regular service inspections, maintenance and care
as well as immediate professional repairs or exchange
of damaged parts guarantees a long­lasting and safe
functioning of the bike.

If you don't have the required skills and tools to do the
incidental work yourself, you need to consult a bike shop.
In the following we have prepared some maintenance
advice for you:
First inspection after 5 to 15 hours of operation should
include the following:

Check the tightening torque of all crews and nuts, if
necessary tighten screws and nuts
Check concentricity and spoke tension of wheels, tighten
spokes if necessary
Check the preload of the head set bearing arragement
Check profile and sides of tires, replace worn­out tires
Measure thickness of brakewwws, replace pads and
disc if necessary (adhere to the specifications of the
manufacturer)
Check your brake system for leak tightness; consult a
bike shop in case of leakage
Check slackness of bearings at bottom bracket, headset
bearing hub and pedals, tighten if necessary
Check concentricity and spoke tension of wheels, tighten
spokes if necessary
Check the tightening torque of all crews and nuts, if
necessary tighten screws and nuts
Clean and lubricate drivetrain
Fork service: adhere to the specifications of the
manufacturer
Demount and clean bottom bracket, lubricate assembly
thread
Demount and check headset bearing apply grease to
bearing carrier
Demount stem and seatpost, check for cracks and
damages, replace if necessary
Check wear and tear of sprocket and chain, replace if
necessary
Check the shifting cables for cracks and damages,
replace if necessary
