CLEANUP
When cleaning the HandiRoll 550, it is very important that you use the appropriate
cleaning solution for the type of paint you are using.
10. Turn the switch on the main tube to FILL. Pull plunger back to draw remaining paint
from roller arm into the tube
11. Press fill valve onto fill tube. Push plunger forward to return excess paint to can.
12. Press locking tab and remove roller cover (a) assembly from the arm. Insert thumb to
first knuckle, pry and pull the cap (b) from the roller cover. Once the cap is removed,
push the roller core out the other end. Clean with the appropriate cleaning solution.
13. Remove fill tube from the clip and insert it into the fill valve. Submerge fill tube into
appropriate cleaning solution. Pull/push plunger 5 times. Remove fill tube from the
fill valve.
14. Submerge fill valve and roller arm into cleaning solution. Pull/push plunger 5 times
Remove the roller arm.
15. Submerge the connecting area and the fill valve into cleaning solution. Pull/push
plunger 5 times.
STORAGE
16. Turn the locking collar next to the trigger counterclockwise until the main tube slides
off the plunger.
17. Pack a generous amount of petroleum jelly around and in between the O-rings on
the plunger.
18. Clean and pack a generous amount of petroleum jelly on the seal (a), O-ring (b) and
other indicated bearing areas (c) of the arm.
PROBLEM
A. There is paint

4) Paint residue on connecting
areas
5) The O-rings are damaged or
missing
6) The roller cover is worn or
damaged
7) The core or cap is worn or
damaged
8) The bearing areas are worn
SOLUTION
1) Turn the seal around
2) Clean and properly
lubricate
3) Clean and properly
lubricate
4) Clean connecting areas
5) Replace the O-rings
6) Replace roller cover
7) Replace core or cap
8) Call customer service
